Neuroaffirmative Assessments

We support identifications of three distinct neurotypes – ADHD, Autistic, and combined Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD).

ADHD and AuDHD identifications are for children (6+) and adults.

We recognize those coming for AuDHD identifications have significantly different needs than those coming for Autistic identifications only. We are proud to be one of the only clinics in Ireland offering the gold standard, multi-disciplinary assessment for AuDHD.

We currently provide autism-only assessments exclusively for adults.

ADHD Assessment

Children (6+) and adults

Cost: €1500

Location: Hybrid online/in clinic in Wicklow Town (adults may opt for all online)

 

For children includes:

  • Three clinical sessions with Dr. DeFlumere
    • Session 1: Parent clinical interview
    • Session 2: Child clinical interview or play session 
    • Session 3: Assessment outcomes
  • Conners-4 and QbCheck (online attention testing)
 
For adults includes:
  • Three clinical sessions with Dr. DeFlumere
  • Conners-4 and QbCheck (online attention testing) 

Combined Autism and ADHD Assessment

Children (6+) and adults

Cost: €2500

Location: Hybrid online/in clinic in Wicklow Town (adults may opt for all online)

 

For children includes:

  • Five 60-minute sessions with Dr. DeFlumere exploring developmental, attentional, social, and sensory patterns
    • Two clinical interviews with parents
    • One play-based session with Dr. DeFlumere
    • One play-based session with Dr. DeFlumere and a Senior Occupational Therapist (OT) or Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)
    • Parent feedback session to discuss outcomes
  • QbCheck (online attention testing)
  • Conners-4 and other questionnaires
  • Comprehensive integrated documentation, including DSM-5 criteria mapping, detailed report, outcome letter, and GP letter, including clinical, educational and family support recommendations
 

For adults includes:

  • Four 60-minute sessions with Dr. DeFlumere exploring developmental, attentional, social, and sensory patterns
  • Input from Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), as required
  • QbCheck (online attention testing)
  • Conners-4 and other questionnaires
  • Optional 30-minute debrief session to reflect on findings 
  • Comprehensive integrated documentation, including DSM-5 criteria mapping, detailed report, outcome letter, and GP letter

Autism Assessment

Only accepting adults

Cost: €1500

Available fully online, or hybrid online/in clinic in Wicklow Town

 

Includes:

  • Three 60-minute sessions with Dr. DeFlumere exploring developmental, social, and sensory patterns and preferences
  • Optional 30-minute debrief session to reflect on findings 
  • Comprehensive integrated documentation, including DSM-5 criteria mapping, detailed report, outcome letter, and GP letter

Yes, there is free parking on site and paid parking nearby.

Yes, the clinic is fully accessible. There is a lift to the assessment space.

As Dr. DeFlumere is a Chartered Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland, her fees are generally claimable with your private health insurance.

Receipts are provided for health insurance claims and tax-relief claims.

As Dr. DeFlumere is a Chartered Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland, her outcomes are recognised by all public bodies (including the HSE and Department of Education).

No, Dr. DeFlumere is a Chartered Psychologist, and not a psychiatrist. If medication is desired, any outcomes and reports would need to be reviewed by a psychiatrist.

Some Psychiatric clinics offer a direct pathway for this. Please contact for more details.

Yes, you may bring snacks for yourself or your child. Please do not bring items containing nuts.

Yes, everyone working with you or your child is Garda vetted. Anyone working at An Tairseach is also Garda vetted as it is on the grounds of a secondary school.
