Individual therapy is a way for you to create a life that aligns with who you want to be.
If you’re experiencing a life transition, noticing life could be different and more meaningful, coping with loss, living with longterm mental health conditions, or simply want to make life more joyful, I’m here.
From your first contact, you will be engaged with openly and collaboratively. The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy – your therapeutic relationship will be founded on trust, understanding, and genuine connection.
How I’m Different:
My clinical practice provides a unique blend of neuroaffirmative, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ aware therapy informed by my areas of clinical specialism and life experience.
You won’t be talking to someone who makes you feel small, disempowered, or at fault for your difficulties – we’ll be working through it together in a way that feels right for you.
All relationships can be strengthened, and the awareness of this is essential to growing alongside your partner(s).
How we’re different:
I follow the Gottman Method of Couples’ Therapy, the most evidence-based relationship therapy available currently. This method is based on more than five decades of research and focusses on providing practical ways for relationships to have deeper connections, replace conflict patterns with positive interactions, increase intimacy and respect, repair past hurts, rebuild trust, recover from past harm (including infidelity), adjust through life transitions, increase sexual satisfaction, and create shared values and goals.
On top of following the best evidence-based practice, I focus on building open, clear, respectful therapeutic relationships.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I provide a uniquely LGBTQ+ aware service, meaning that relationships of all types and structures are welcomed, including non-monogamous relationships.
Outdoor walking therapy is just like traditional therapy (we build collaborative treatment plans in line with evidence-based treatment to address what change clients hope to see), but rather than meeting online or in an office, we meet outside.
This type of therapy helps clients access the mental health benefits of being outside and moving their bodies. Importantly, it can often feel more accessible and less intimidating than traditional therapy in an office setting. This type of therapy is especially well suited for neurodivergent people, for people who struggle to fit movement into their lives and who would like to combine movement with care for their mental wellbeing, and for people who find walking aids in processing emotional experiences.
Walking route and time will be tailored to clients’ ability and availability. Dogs and buggies are welcome, as well.
Routes in Wicklow. Therapy rate will be adjusted to consider travel.
Having a baby isn’t simple, and fertility intervention, adoption, access to surrogacy, loss, abortion, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period all have their own impacts on mental wellbeing.
If you have experienced emotional challenges in your conception journey, this session is for you.
This one-off session is the first offering of its kind in Ireland and is specifically structured to help you process fertility treatment outcomes, challenges in your fertility journey, and your pathway to conception. You gain practical ways to look after your psychological wellbeing during any future fertility treatments, a framework for discussing fertility with any potential partners, and handouts to inform your reproductive choices moving forward.
In addition to my clinical expertise, I am the non-birthing, non-pregnant parent of two children conceived via IVF.
With my clinical and lived experience of fertility treatment and conception, in this session, we develop practical plans to navigate future fertility treatment, advocate for your needs in infertility treatment, and inform your reproductive choices moving forward.
If you have experienced trauma (related to or separate from pregnancy or birth), the perinatal period and access to healthcare may be specifically challenging.
With my expertise in mental health intervention, trauma-informed care, and perinatal mental health, in this session we build psychologically-informed birth and pregnancy plans for you. These are specifically designed to help you advocate for quality maternity care and to help you have the birth that you (and your family) deserve.
Finding the right avenue of support for you and your family can be daunting, so I provide a unique offering in a one-off Mental Health Concierge service. This session aims to help you find the right fit in mental healthcare provider. This is particularly helpful for those navigating ADHD and autism assessments.
This consultation service helps you
- assess what type of practitioner you might need (e.g., psychotherapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, life/career coach, occupational therapist, dietitian)
- what service you might need (e.g., assessment type and timeline, therapy, psychopharmacological intervention)
- streamlines your search
- clarify your goals for engaging with a mental healthcare practitioner.
